Ice Skate Egypt was founded in December, 2017 by Dr. Heba Guirgis.

Ice Skate Egypt is the official national governing body representing the sport of figure skating in Egypt and abroad.

It started as a committee in Sports for All Federation headed by Dr. Emad El-Bannany and is now the Egyptian Figure Skating Federation controlling, regulating, and promoting the sport of figure skating in Egypt.

Ice Skate Egypt is a member of the International Skating Union (ISU) since January 2022, and is recognized by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
