Do something cool with your summer this year with Ice Skate Egypt’s first ever summer program. Whether you are interested in becoming a coach or an instructor, performing in front of hundreds of spectators if you are a proficient skater, competing for title of “National Champion” for International Skating Union level skaters, or simply enjoying the thrill and beauty of figure skating as an audience member, we have something for you.
First on the summer schedule is a coaches’ training that will be held from June 29-July 1. If you have previous skating experience and would like to be a coach or skating instructor, then this is the right event for you. This three day educational event will be hosted by a world-renowned international coach, Zsolt Kerekes. You are sure to expand your general knowledge of the sport and learn how to effectively teach these skills. This event, like all the others listed below will be held at SunCity Mall in Cairo, Egypt.
Next on the busy summer plan is Ice Skate Egypt’s Fist National Skating Championships for Egyptian skaters at International Skating Union (ISU) levels. Even if you can’t compete, don’t worry, we still have something for you… you’re still invited to come watch and enjoy the competition and even have a chance to meet some of the skaters! This event will also be held at SunCity Mall on July 6, late morning or early afternoon.
The final event planned for this summer will be a skating camp for comfortable skaters from July 7-12, ending with a show, “Skate the World” on the 12th of July. Kids of all ages and the previous skating experience will enjoy this day camp hosted by U.S. coach Monica Hale. Packed with tons of experience, Coach Monica is guaranteed to not disappoint. Even if you are not a camp participant, you won’t want to miss this exhilarating performance and enjoy the beauty of figure skating and of numerous international cultures.
This is not a first for Ice Skate Egypt. In previous years shows have been hosted by Little Stars on Ice in Soho Square, Sharm el-sheik and last year a skating festival was hosted at SunCity Mall. We hope to continue hosting events that everyone can enjoy.
We know that summer can get brutally hot, so come cool down with us and all that we have to offer. See you this summer and don’t forget to check us out on social media.
